Maryland's SHERO Awards

Monday October 15, 2007 Debbi Weinberg, Founder and Director of GEM, was honored in Maryland's First ever SHERO Awards. A group of our very own GEM girls volunteered at the first annual event. The evening was wrapped up with an outstanding performance given by Queen Latifah.

This year GEM was invited to be a part of Great Tastes 2008. We provided them with volunteers and we were given the opportunity to get the word out about GEM. GEM had a table where we gave out information and sold raffle tickets. Great Tastes was kind enough to donate a portion of the proceeds to GEM and we greatly appreciate this gift.
